Penang, Malaysia | January 2024 – Recently, ANDAMINE has officially launched its custom-designed track-mounted mobile jaw crusher unit for a large-scale stone processing project in Penang, Malaysia. Leveraging an innovative jaw plate design and high wear-resistant material technology, the solution successfully addresses long-standing issues such as flat aggregate shapes and short jaw plate lifespan, setting a new performance benchmark in Southeast Asia’s granite crushing sector.
Pain Point Breakthrough: From Flat Particles to Three-Dimensional Formation
The project, with a design capacity of 200 TPH, utilizes high-hardness granite as the raw material. Previously, the client encountered two major challenges when using imported Australian jaw crushers:
- Excessively Flat Aggregates: The high proportion of flat-shaped aggregates adversely affected concrete mix strength and market pricing.
- Short Jaw Plate Lifespan: Insufficient wear resistance led to frequent machine stoppages for jaw plate replacement (average lifespan less than one month), significantly hampering production efficiency.
Following an in-depth on-site survey, ANDAMINE’s technical team proposed a dual-dimensional upgrade solution:
- Structural Optimization: By increasing the density of the jaw teeth, the system achieves multi-level layered crushing. This reduces the force area per pass and promotes the formation of more three-dimensional particles, with the proportion of cubical aggregates increasing by over 30%, thereby significantly enhancing aggregate value.
- Material Innovation: The introduction of independently developed Mn18 super-manganese steel jaw plates, enhanced through nano-level carbide dispersion strengthening technology, boosts hardness to HB550 and simultaneously improves impact toughness. In extreme granite processing conditions, the jaw plate’s service life has exceeded 6 months – more than six times longer than the previous solution.
